Qmetry: Delivering a Digital Quality Platform for Enterprises

An Intellyx Brain Candy Brief

Digital transformation is changing how organizations do almost everything — including, according to Qmetry, the way they approach software quality. The company believes that software quality fosters digital transformation and, therefore, organizations must look at quality differently in the digital age.

The company believes that organizations must view software quality holistically and approach it in an integrated fashion rather than as isolated testing activities. It has, therefore, built what it refers to as a Digital Quality Platform that provides integrated test management, test automation and quality metrics and analytics.

Leveraging an automation framework that they released as an open source project, the solution has built-in automation, plus API-based integration with most continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) automation tools. It is the product’s built-in big data platform, built specifically for software quality management, however, that sets them apart.

The company applies machine learning techniques to test and quality data to provide organizations with predictive and prescriptive guidance on quality improvement. Enterprise can use this guidance, for instance, to identify areas that require greater test coverage or in which they can apply higher levels of automation. As organizations continue to demand higher levels of quality and require faster deployments, it is likely that they will find integrated, data-driven quality platforms to be a critical business enabler.
